The beginning-of-season weirdness is mostly resolved at this point, my beloved Wolverines notwithstanding. We have a sense by now of who is at least a little competitive, and season opener OOC games have given way to the steel on steel of the conference schedule.
#17 Iowa @ #18 Michigan - 2:30 CT - There’s really not that much to say here. It’s gonna be the B1G at its best. These teams both like running the ball. These teams both rely on their defense to keep them in a long game. Both teams employ top tier punters. Expect a grindfest.
#1 Texas @ #14 Tennessee - 11 CT - Texas is starting to get just a teeny tiny bit desperate. They’ve had about enough of this wandering in the desert. Sark has lead them to within sight of the promised land, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll be the on to go all the way. The last couple years Ohio State has been the insurmountable hurdle for them, but this year they have finally triumphed and the world is looking like their oyster. Tennessee is a good test of whether they’re lucky or good.
