#5 Ohio State @ #14 Iowa - 2:30 CT - Every October the matchup on my mind is Ohio State vs my hopes and dreams. Texas made them look like they might not be invincible but they’re still incredibly scary. Kinnick is a rough road environment though and after beating my beloved Wolverines last week Iowa has certainly shown that they have some serious fight in them. Strength on strength here is going to be the Ohio State offense vs the Iowa Defense, although reports are that the OSU WR factory may finally be slowing down. This week, we are all Hawkeyes.
#7Alabama @ #16 Mississippi State - 11 CT - I feel like it’s been a long time since Alabama has had to worry about games like this. Under Nick Saban this was the kind of game where the commentators would spend all week talking about how it’s hard to go on the road in the SEC and win consistently and then the Crimson Tide would take care of business and waltz into the postseason. But it’s not Nick Saban’s team anymore. Mississippi State is finally showing signs of exiting the SEC dungeon and Kalen DeBoer has shown himself to be a good coach for sure but not lights out consistent the way Saban was (against everybody but Auburn). This one could be a changing of the guard in the SEC.
